It's time for another episode of Good Idea, Bad Idea.
Good idea: bringing a bottle of wine to your friends' for a party.
Bad idea: bringing numerous bottles of wine to your friends' for a party.
Especially when it didn't occur to me last night that I'm on this whole budget thing now, with limited funds.
In short, I just used a week's worth of my food budget for alcohol, and now I have about twenty dollars left to do me until next pay day. I'm going to have to... cook. And buy things at a grocery store instead of ordering things in.
And I'm really going to have to quit smoking.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, I'm just musing about it because it's all new to me. I'm actually finding it pretty interesting. I don't know how to go to the grocery store. Obviously, I need to learn, which didn't occur to me until now. Thus, amused. I'm looking forward to it.
Can someone come with me? Teach me the ins and outs of buying food that I prepare myself?
And on the smoking front, I think I should put out a call that if anyone sees me smoking they should punch me in the face. That'll be some incentive for me not to smoke!
